Celebrating the Success of Current and Former Phoenix Ballet Dancers

Current Dancers

One of the goals of the Phoenix Ballet is to help create a professional environment for young people aspiring to be professional ballet dancers. With the help of Phoenix Ballet's professional school, Master Ballet Academy, we are able to help numerous young people succeed in ballet.

The 2017-2018 Season brought numerous success stories including Tia Wenkman, age 13, winning the bronze medal at the prestigious Olympic-styled competition USA IBC, winning the Grand Prix Award at the ADC IBC competition, and finished third at the YAGP Finals. Tegan Chou, age 11, won the ADC IBC Grand Prix Award in the Primary Division. Basia Rhoden was pre-selected at the YAGP Finals, where she placed third, in New York City for the esteemed Prix de Lausanne in Switzerland.

Misha Broderick, age 11, placed third at the YAGP finals in New York City.

Numerous of the dancers with Phoenix Ballet were selected to compete at the YAGP NEW YORK CITY Finals, and USA IBC's Jackson Competition. At the New York City finals numerous dancers placed in the top 12 out of thousands, including: Bel Pickering (16) and Summer Montenegro (11).
